Lead Security Installation Technician

NAK Services is seeking a fulltime Lead Installation Technician to perform the following job responsibilities: The lead installation technician is directly responsible for leading and working along with a crew of technicians.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/layout.
• cabling rough-in and termination (all media types);
• assisting with all aspects of the project as directed by project manager
• Ensuring that all equipment and information are onsite to meet schedules and deadlines.
• cabling testing and documentation (all media types);
• adhere to safety guidelines and requirements;
• maintain all tool inventory assignment and checkout;
• installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems;
• work with CAT 5e & 6 twisted pair, optical fiber, coax, etc.;
• perform all cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other local regulations;
• perform all work in a neat and quality manner;
• Basic pipe bending and fitting of conduit.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
• Travel to job sites throughout Northern Indiana will be required

Minimum Requirement
• Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools
• Must have the ability to lift/carry/setup a 75 lb. ladder
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Provide courteous customer service to new and existing customers
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Lead Technician

Preferred Experience
• Prior experience with security and fire installations
• Video Surveillance (CCTV) Alarm
• Access Control
• Prior experience with networking protocols, LAN/WAN concepts, and TCP/IP networking.
• Prior experience with telephone system and network equipment installation
